Pacific Blue partners with manufacturer to save millions!

Pacific Blue partners with manufacturer to customize a decommissioned fully automatic line at a fraction of the cost if the line were to be purchased brand new. Millions were saved on this fully customized solution!

Our customer acquired a decommissioned automated processing line with the intention to repurpose it for the manufacturing of their specific product.

They partnered with Pacific Blue to inspect the electrical components, reverse engineer the system, rewrite the code applicable to their specific process, and successfully commission the system.

Upon initial investigation, it was determined that the operator interface was not included with the equipment purchased. We reverse-engineered the existing PLC code, and modeled the new interface after the customer’s other equipment so that it would feel familiar to operators.

This engagement additionally included integration with peripheral machines.

The system uses an Emerson RX3i PLC and Quickpanel+ HMIs programmed in Emerson Machine Edition, and a Rexroth XM21 Servo Controller, programmed using Rexroth IndraWorks software.
