Unboxing A LOT of Rockwell Automation hardware. Getting ready for the installation and commissioning phase of a large legacy upgrade project. Flashing firmware, downloading the program, and verifying communications prior to arrival onsite.

Customer purchased a sheet metal embossing line out of country. They were not receiving support when the line went down. We had to reverse engineer code with comments written in Simplified Chinese, and build custom instructions. Upgraded some of the controls hardware, and successfully got them back to production! Consolidating four (4) isolated SLC PLCs, two (2) ControlLogix PLCs to a redundant ControlLogix rack with remote Point I/O. Also, converting a Labview SCADA interface to FactoryTalk ViewSE. Pacific Blue upgraded a complex PLC5 to ControlLogix application utilizing the Rockwell Automation conversion kit. There were no wiring schematics, multiple DeviceNet networks, Remote I/O, and five PanelViews over Ethernet I/P. Commissioned ahead of schedule!
