Pacific Blue Engineering successfully designed, programmed, installed, and commissioned a turn-key controls and safety upgrade on a machine for a large food & beverage customer.
– Upgraded a legacy PLC to a Rockwell Automation CompactGuard safety PLC
– Migrated a legacy HMI to a Rockwell Automation PanelView Plus 7
– Decommissioned existing field devices on an ASI bus network
– Integrated new safety devices such as muting light curtains, locking door switches, request to enter stations, emergency stop pushbuttons, safety pneumatic dump valves, and Powerflex 525 drives with Safe Torque Off
– Developed electrical schematics
– Designed the perimeter hard guarding
– Performed the electrical and hard guard installation
